Question 3 What kind of media institution might distribute your media production and why?

A film could be distributed in the UK by production/distributing companies such as film four, metrodome via the microwave scheme etc.

A film could also be distributed in the USA by production/distributing companies such as 20th Century Fox, Universal, Columbia, Paramount, Disney etc.

A film could be viewed via cinema (either celluloid or digital), a website on the internet, YouTube, DVD/blue ray, television, viral marketing etc.

I think the methods I would use for our thriller would be to distribute it in the UK with film four as they distribute new film and put one into them and this would help our thriller get more publicity.

I would choose for my film to be viewed via the internet, television and DVD as all three of these technologies are very popular with teenagers who are who my film is aimed at.

I would compare our film to the film Shifty as it is similar in many ways. It also is aimed at teenagers. It uses similar settings such as streets, parks and estates.
It uses fast pace, modern music in its trailer to attract the audience and we thought we would do the same.

Question 4 Who would be the audience, for your media product?

When we was developing our thriller we made a survey and this was aimed at young adults and teenagers. We asked what they enjoyed most about thrillers and what was the best aspect of a thriller?, when we was filming our thriller we kept in mind the answers that were given and the feedback and altered a few aspects and it was aimed at them.

Wordle: MEDIA

Above is some of the aspects of a thriller and some of the comments and feedback that we recived and i put them in to the website wordle which shows she aspects are most important.

Question 5 How did you attract/address your audience?

The way I attracted people to watch my video was by emailing it to my friends on Facebook etc. and they watched it on their or they looked up them name of it and watched it on their phones and I players.
My thriller hold the audience’s attention very well with cliff-hangers ,suspense, shock, this is because it builds up tension and suspense through the music which we chose because its slow at the start and gradually gets faster the more we get to the killing scene. The killer is very weird and strange and has been following ellie and when he gets the wrong girl the audience is shocked and all the suspense and tension has built up to this moment and I think that this kept the audience attention. Another thing that keeps their attention is the fact the girl has said by to her friends and is walking through the park allow as it starts to get dark and the audience are course to what will happen to her. Also at the end of the film we leave it on a cliff hanger because we fade the film out when the girl has died and Neyro is in a state of shock about what he has done, leaving the audience to think what has happened to her? This could be things like, see if Neyro gets ellie and kills her after all or he kills more girls that look like her, he could get caught by the police or he could still be out their? The audience will want to keep watching after the two minutes because they want to know what will happen to ellie and Neyro and me as well.
The location was good as well because we filmed it in a dark place favouring the killer and because it was a park and shops/flats it shows they are not in a wealthy area showing that there is not much to do so teenagers get into trouble like what is shown in the thriller and there was a lot of trees around for him to hide and their wasn’t a lot of people about. we used young actors and actresses because we created a stereotype because normally a guy breaks a girls heart however in our thriller we did not play to this stereotype we done it so the guy was heartbroken and upset and the girl was moving on and he didn’t like how she left him and this creates more tension because the audience have never seen this before, I think the audience will engage with characters and will think twice about going out allow and being more carful.

Question 7 Looking back at your preliminary task what do you feel you have learnt and why?

This is something i created from jigsaw planet to show what I have learnt .

http://www.jigsawplanet.com/?rc=play&pid=14566b0a36cb

Throught out the making of my prilimary task I have learnt a range of new skills like editing, camera movements,sound,mise-en-scene, how to create a ident and much more.

Below is some images from our thriller and our prilimamary task and how we used the same techniques but mde then to a higher standard.

This is a picture from our preliminary task of Taginder walking the one below is from our final thriller of Ellie and Neyro. We used similar techniques that we used in our preliminary task to our thriller, however the viewer will be able to see a clear progression within our work my looking at both of them and seeing the differce..

In both clips there were walking scenes, we developmet our editing skills in the finile piece as we had practis when we done it in our prelinimary task however we were able to add more effects and we added sound as well. Whereas in the preliminary task it was our first attempt at ever editing and there are some blury parts and it doesnt cut very well however we developed our skills and managed to put together a good thriller.
