Film Language and Camera Angles
Every camera angle is used for different shots and all give different effects on the character or actors in the film. Extreme Close up - This shows something very particular, Close up - This shows some ones facial expressions or a close up of a particular thing, Medium Shot - This shot usually shows half of someone or a body, Long Shot- This show can show the whole of someone or a place , Establishing shot - This shot is used at the beginning of films to show the place where the film is set High angle - This angle shows a person looking very powerful and strong , Low Angle - This angle is used to show someone vulnerable and weak , Shot Reverse Shot- This shot is used when the camera moves from behind one person to the other and its usually used to show a conversation , Pointy of View Shot - This shot is used for the audience to be able to see through the eyes of one of the characters that is talking or watching someone.
